Grip Benchmark Lifts

Recommended Posts

There are a number of lifts in the grip world that are usually recognized as benchmarks for a “strong” grip. I think most would agree that if someone can accomplish any of these feats, they are doing very well:

2 45s Pinch

50 lb Blob

Inch Dumbbell

COC #3

45 lb Hub

What about some of the other less traditional lifts? What do you think would be a good benchmark lift on the following implements?

1” V-Bar

2” V-Bar

Rolling Thunder

Ironmind Hub

Ironmind Pinch Block

8 lb Bomb

Double Overhand Axle

These are just a few lifts I’m curious to hear opinions on.

What about anvil lifts? Actual anvils vary considerably in horn dimensions, but generally what would be considered a tough anvil? 150 lbs?

Feel free to list other lifts along with what you consider to be impressive weights for them.
