I Now Understand Choking A Gripper

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I have yet to close my number 3. I have been working on it for 16 months now. I can get almost any gripper to parallel, my problem is getting the last 1/8th inch to close. I'm getting really close to getting my number three but I could tell it was time to change something up.

I've been looking over the gripboard and I determined that I need to try choking a gripper, so I can focus on closing it from parallel to closed.

So I got a hose clamp, got my number 3 to parallel, tried it and damn if it didn't close!!!

So now I know that I can close the last little bit, I just gotta keep working this last bit.

This was after i got home from the gym, after working chest, arms, and grip.

So I took the clamp off and put it on the next one down I have so I can do more reps.

I'm excited now.

If you can close it choked then open the choker up 1/4" and work with it at that distance until you can close it again. Then open it another 1/4" and repeat.
