Jedd Johnson Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Been trying this for years. Have been close for the last few months. Got it up in May but didn't have the camera running. It's nice to be able to finally cross it off the list. daniel reinard Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Awesome lift Jedd! To lift one any day is Elite, let alone 2 on camera for onlookers! Quote Introduced to grip world 8/22/10
Mikael Siversson Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Very impressive, especially considering that there was no tilting. Quote
patrickmeniru Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Haha, awesome, after the first attempt i worried for the safety of your toes in those shoes!! Great job. Quote
daniel reinard Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Real men lift in minimal foot wear. Seriously, does a bit of cloth over the toes matter when 172# comes crashing down? Quote Introduced to grip world 8/22/10
amaury Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Crazy lift (and no tilt as was already pointed out)! As an aside, I am surprised by the - relatively - small size of your forearms given your overall grip strength. Quote
Jedd Johnson Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Thanks a lot guys for the support and compliments. I always try to lift with minimal tilt as the lift becomes quite a bit easier with tilt, at least with one hand. As for shoes, I rarely lift with sneakers on - usually in socks, moccasins, and sometimes bare feet. Sandals was all I had on this trip, aside from shoes that I rarely wear because they kill my feet. Forearms - I have not done that much direct forearm flexor work in the last 5 years, aside from just gripping. My legs are also pencil-thin as pointed out on Facebook. I blame genetics, at least that is what gets me to sleep at night - LOL! Thanks again guys and all the best. climber511 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Jedd's forearms aren't exactly small - probably about the size of my biceps hehe! daniel reinard Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Jedd's forearms aren't exactly small - probably about the size of my biceps hehe! I hear ya Chris, lol! Heck, even my biceps are only an inch bigger than the forearms. Jedd has big arms, it's just those massive DBs that throw proportions off. Quote Introduced to grip world 8/22/10
Jedd Johnson Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Thanks for the props on the forearms. I do a lot of forearm work, just not for the flexors.
