What happened to him? He hasn't been active neither here nor on YouTube?

Posted

I just emailed him last night to see how he is doing because I had not heard from him in a while. No reply yet :)

If you guys want some entertaining videos, spend a couple hours watching the stuff on his Youtube page. Some of the best gripper vids out there in my opinion. He was a specialist on grippers for certain.

When you're watching those vids, keep in mind he is 85kg and sub-8" hands.

I talk with him on FB now and again; mostly we just quote Talladega Nights; The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

I really like his vids too! It just seems that after his unsuccessful CCS CoC #3.5 attemp he stopped training...

I was wondering the same thing the other day. I really enjoyed watching his progress. He was so close to the #4. Crazy considering his smaller size.

"You don't have to be fat to be strong!" - Svend Karlsen

"I know it doesn't just come from playing with yourself" - Svend Karlsen talking to Magnus Samuelsson about closing the COC #4.

Cannon, did he reply already to your mail? Yesterday I did some youtube surfing and besides the vid I posted here of Jonathan Vogt, I think he has some excellent videos around. And the articles he wrote about CCS training and choker work are very good to read. Curious if he still trains?

It is nice to see that my best efforts were appreciated. :) Cannon, sorry you did not hear from me. I meant no offense by that.

It was not my unsuccesful #3.5 certification that made me stop gripping for some time. In fact, Mr. Strossen was kind then and let me keep the gripper I failed with. It was and is a beast for a #3.5. Much harder to sweep down than both MMG3 or MMG4. My best CCS efforts on that gripper were really close, only 1 mm when I was at my best.

I hope that within this year I will have some new grip videos worth watching. Will see how everything goes, so far I'm making quick gains as I recently started again. :)

None taken! I assumed you were super busy with studies, work, life, etc! It's great to see you hanging around again.
