amaury
Very hard to pick just one. Some of the following feats have been duplicated (and beyond) but they made a very lasting impression on my mind: - Heath repping the #3 at the AOBS dinner - Nathan Holle closing (holding closed?) the Ivanko SG with 3 springs on it - David Hurzeler doing a rafter chin. First pic i ever saw of this feat. - Pat bending a cut red nail - Mark Henry cleaning and push pressing the Inch DB - Mobsterone lifting the Millenium DB
jad
I don't know about "inspired" as I'm more of a self-starter but the feat that got me interested in Grip vs. just squeezing grippers were the pics of Tommy doing hublifts. Those seemed absolutely impossible to me at the time and I thought "I wanna do that someday!". As we all know, finding the right plates is the biggest challenge with hublifting and to this day I can't budge those I was trying on. Wayne
So many to name but one that comes to mind that really made an impression on me was Dave Morton repping the #4. That was one of the first videos i watched when i first joined the gripboard and I just could not believe it.
Cannon
Teemu's gripper work. He was in his heyday of PRs right when I joined the board.
bencrush
Seeing Matt Graham snatch the Blob, 2HP 200lbs on plates, and take a walk with an Inch in each hand - in my first two grip contests.
eduard23
Yes of course can be many things that can be an inspiration.
Bob Lipinski
This will be an odd one- Sybersnott closing the #3. This is a guy with next to zero genetic advantages but he went after it. As far as strong guys, Heath Sexton.
Bearcat 74
On video would be just about anything Wade Gillingham does and Joe's #4 close. Craziest I've seen in person was Scott Clayton one hand pinch grip 132lbs on a pair of 45's with a bar through the middle. I've seen Pat P. bend some crazy stuff, but anything above a coat hanger is big for me so I have no real concept of what it takes to bend that stuff. It all falls into the, "dang, that looks real hard" category.

We did not have calibrated scales though, we were just going by what the plates/pin weighed. It was crazy though. I forgot about that video by Jedd, it was cool too. lifesnotfair
Reviving this few months old thread.... I just stumbled upon some very old pictures of this Scott Clayton fellow in the old Cyberpump gallery, casually pinching 3-25s, and 2-45's with two fingers and thumb in a different picture. I thought "who is this guy with awesome Pinch and what happened to him?'', so after searching his name here I read that none other than Heath has witnessed him pinching 132 (!!!!!!) on 2-45's plus added weight??? Which must be harder than an Euro pinch set-up at his perfect width??? Who is this man and where is he nowdays? I'm pretty amazed.
Mikael Siversson
Certainly not in my case. I did a 1HP, using 2x20k plates as a base, of 46k back in 2003. The width was 70mm. It took me 9 years of additional training to duplicate that on the Euro (at my optimal 64mm width). Using two 20k or 45lb plates as a base centralises the weight which makes it much easier in the 1HP unless you have very strong wrists. ....Which must be harder than an Euro pinch set-up at his perfect width???
