Pryme
Thanks guys. Maybe I should go for one of your guys mash monster grippers one of these days. Which one do you start at and how hard is it? My set is not super deep, what is needed? And to richaz, I have had these grippers for about 7yrs, but have not been consistant all those years. I closed the 3 back in maybe 06 and stopped using them except for a rare time with friends, then just took them out to practice with a month or so ago. When I first took them back out I couldnt get the 3 anymore! But it came back quick, I suppose cus I did it before?
Cannon
Uh, HOLY SPIT! Okay, here is how you get on the Mash Monster ladder: 1) You have to be a contributor at ANY level. 2) You have to take a video of you closing the #3 and submit it for judging. The video cannot be viewed publicly prior to judging. Submit the link to Wannagrip. This will get you MM0 status. 3) Once you have MM0 status you can sign up for Level 1. You have to go through the levels in order. Level 1 is like a hard #3. You'd close it almost certainly. Feel free to ask if you have more questions. You've got some serious power. Pryme
Cool, I will soon make a vid of the 3, to submit. Is my 3 video I posted invalid due to posting it first? I can make another if needed, tell me what you want in the video. Thanks

Make sure to clearly show the width of your set, and the video has to be clear enough and close enough to see the handles touching.

Any pointers for getting sharper video? I only have my lil canon camera to use for video. It can barely focus on the gripper numbers

Here is a visual aid: http://www.mashmonster.com/set/ I have a Canon camera as well. Check this out>>> my camera has a "macro" setting for video. It's a little flower icon you can push while in video mode. This makes the camera focus with crystal clear clarity about 6-8" away from the lens. Perfect for a gripper video. I absolutely cannot get an acceptable gripper video in the regular video setting.

odin
Very impressive! Are you training pinch or doing other grip work?
Pryme
The last time I pinched was many years ago, I did 35's with 2 or 3lbs of magnant weights on each plate. Ripped a few phonebooks and a deck of cheap cards. I'll do one handed deadlifts from time to time. I have done 285 to lockout with my right hand. It's all fun to me.
