ATK
Somebody posted a visualization approach here so I tried it. I was pumped to close it the whole day today, so I gave myself 3 attempts today to close it. First was a 2mm miss, second attempt - CLOSED!, third attempt I tried to close it in front of a camera, but the video is not good. I labelled it as a 1mm miss, but I could have sworn the handles touched initially and you can kinda see it on the video. It took me 6 months of 3-4 times a week training with grippers (besides my usual gym routine). I'll try to take a better video in a day or two. GatorGrip
Great job on your efforts to close the #3 that last attempt was still mighty close.

Hopefully I'll have a video of an actual close, then the work begins on the CCS close...

ATK
What kind of routine did you do to accomplish a #3 close? I worked out every other day and usually switched between light and heavy... SO for example: Monday - Light, Tuesday - off, Wednesday - heavy, Thursday - off, Friday - light, Saturday - off, Sunday - heavy, Monday - off.... etc. I did that for about two weeks and then took 4 days off. Light workout: focus on reps, warm up, 4 sets - 10 reps (gripper that you would be able to do) Heavy workout: Usually heavy singles, with forced closes + static holds and stuff like over crushes/coin/strap holds... Usually came out to about 4 workouts a week. I do power-lifting as well, and did it before I started grip training, so I had a pretty good base. I did include more grip work in my regular exercise routines as well, mainly plate curls, one handed dead lifts, and plate pinching. I also do hammer leveraging once every two weeks.
