Sybersnott
This is a crazy idea that just popped into my head just now. Let's ALL plan a major event where ALL the grip legends, fans and serious students of grip strength come together at one time and make it a night to remember! I'm thinking that if we do this right and it'll take some time, we could plan it for sometime in the summer of 2012. AND I WOULD WANT EVERYONE TO ATTEND! The timeline is important because it'll give us time to talk about where it would take place and get everyone set to make plans to attend at that time. O.K., am I out of my mind for suggesting something like this? I'd even want some of our friends from other countries to make plans to come over here and meet us as well! Wow, another great and fantastic idea from Sybersnott!!!!!
GatorGrip
This could and would be THE GRIP-TOGETHER! From the Pros to the Practicers of the craft, maybe we could get Ironmind and the other sponsors to get behind the Grip of the Ages competition. The grippers, benders, pinchers, lifters all together for a tremendous day of fun and fair competition. I would lend my strongmanfeats (minus the name of course) logo for the t-shirts (flaming hands bending a bar) maybe get Dennis Rogers and Pat to come out and show their stuff. We could show the Stanless Steel film ect... Brookfield to autograph books, Sorin to sign photos ect... This with the right influences and thought process could be a giant of an event. Syber you could have ignited something really special and I am all for it!
Jedd Johnson
I think this is an AWESOME idea. At this point, the plan is to hold Nationals in the Spring from now on to fall in line with the European schedule. Not sure if it would be a good idea to have Nationals and this function at the same time or not, but I just wanted to throw it out there. Thanks John. I am glad to hear you want to organize something so great for Grip. Jedd
