Man. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yes, I think he sensed that it would be broken, so he thought "I can't let that happen, so I'll just beat my own record and then beat it again" ...... then did it. climber511 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Jedd was totally focused - I don't think there was a doubt in his mind he was going to break the WR - the only question was by how much and if it would be enough considering he was just as sure David and perhaps Loz would break it too. It was sure fun to watch!!! Quote When people used to ask him how it was he became so incredibly strong, it was always the same, "strengthen your mind, the rest will follow". Jedd Johnson Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks a lot for the congrats guys. I just am now seeing this thread as when I logged on the board it said there were no new posts, but when I just perused the contests area, I saw it. As Chris said I was definitely determined to push the record up this time. Brent and I rode from his house to Climbers listening to Korn's Great Hits and Brent's power-thrash head-banging to Chutes and Ladders really got me into the frame of mind I needed. The conditions of Climber's Gym were perfect, plus the weather in Crooksville was beautiful. It was about 60 in the gym, plus it was about 60 outside. Just about everybody pulled a PR in the Pinch, so that was awesome too! Due to skin tears leading up to the contest I could not do much pinching on the Euro Pinch. It was a completely different situation from last year when I broke it. Last year I was hitting the Euro quite often, but this year I had to do other forms of training and it seems to have paid off. Some of what I did was on Brent's suggestion, as he has somehow devised a very beneficial training split and routine. Just in case you guys haven't noticed, he's put roughly 30 pounds on his pinch over the course of December 2009 until now. I have NEVER heard of that kind of progress. I don't see any reason why he can't do the very same thing within the next year's time and possibly make a run at the record. Getting long-winded here, so thanks again to everybody here that has supported me, especially Brent, Rick, Frank, Chuck, Mike P, EJ, and Mike R. who have driven very far distances in order to train, compete, and push me as well as shoot me emails and texts of support. Keep up the great work everybody. Jedd Quote The GOLD STANDARD Feat in Plate Pinching: 2x45s Pinch Get Your Copy Here: How to Pinch 2x45s Ebook Diesel Crew Store: http://www.dieselcrew.com/store/shop
