Steel344
Can someone tell me what filed grippers are and Calibrated grippers. I hear a lot of discussion about calibrated grippers but have no clue what it is about.
Maxwell
Filed grippers have the ends of the handle ground down to do beyond the range training. It is a good way to make a gripper a little harder to continue climbing the gripper ladder. Calibrated grippers are ones that have had weight attached to figure out exactly what it takes to close them and then compare them to other grippers. From my understanding it can be easy to come up with different numbers if you aren't exact with how you do it. I think it can also be dangerous, especially with harder grippers from the shear amount of weight needed. Hope this helps.

Steel344
Judging by the calibration video. Does the gripper loses some of its tension the way it is being forcefully closed? I just wanna know cause since i'm new to calibration, would like to know what's it about to see if its useful for training purposes.
