What Size Stone Mold

Hey guys I was thinking about ordering a stone mold from Slaters but not real sure what size I sould get. I have a large limestone rock that is oblong in shape and weighs a little over 300lb and I can lap it but I know that the roundness is going to make it a lot harder. On their website they recomend not going over 70 pecent of your bodyweight for your first stone which would be about 160 for me. I also have a sand bag with 150lb's in it and its no problem for me to shoulder but again I know the difficulty is going to be in the shape. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

The standard size is generally 20 inches, then you can add foam to make it lighter or lead to make it heavier (you can use blue metal or steel chunks too).

Get on the Slater website - find the phone number and call and talk to Steve in person. He's a great guy and very friendly but more importantly, he's the most knowledgeable guy around on stones, sizes, weight etc. He also makes an adjustable stone that you can add chain or whatever to. That's what I have ended up with (third stone) - an adjustable with a very manageable base weight that can be loaded way over anything I have ever lifted. If you want to do it yourself - I imagine he can fix you up that way too. Tell him I sent you.
