Great effort - might get called for push presses though if it's for AKC - they are pretty strict on what they call a "jerk".

thank you very much!!! there is also a bioathalon where you have 4 min to clean the Kb 24 times and then you get 4 min to jerk it 24 times each hand.. im hoping to compete in the longcycle strongsport only

judges passed my lift for the comp, but said that im push pressing it and need to work on form where there is a second dip, and hold the KB motionless overhead hold it frozen to get the judges count in real life comp, but they said since its on vid and i got the reps i would be a ble to compete atleast

although I can get it better with a lighter bell it looks like there is no point of me competing this year , I need to work on the Clean and jerk more and have a crisp form before i can think about competing in the sport

I figured that might happen but it was pretty cool of them to let you compete I think. Andrew will get you straightened out I bet.

yeah Andrew has already explained to me how the lift needs to be done, I will be working on proper form in the next months. and I was surprised when they said I could compete

here is what the WKC staff wrote,

Steve,

We have passed you for StrongSport Rank S-32 LongCycle, however, the form would need to be cleared up for legal reps at the competition or further Ranks. Obviously you are strong enough for the 32, but there are some rules that could get you no-counts with the lift.

1. You are basically Push Pressing this weight. Strong yes. Harder yes. But it's not the right lift. This is just for your education and furthering your ability. You must show a second dip.

2. You would also need to hold the kettlebell motionless overhead to get a count. You have to hold it frozen and get the Judges count. Otherwise they can give you a no-count.

Obviously it is a bit different on video, so that's why the Judges let you go this time. Please work on it!

Regards,

WKC Staff
