Hey everyone!

So here's a quick rundown of my short story... I started doing some random grip training about 3 years ago, was consistent and passionate about it for about a year. I did gripper work, some random pinch work, and some bending. One night while doing some bending, something felt really funny and I stopped. The next day, I started to get a shock up and down my arms when I would exhale, on every breath, a scary feeling. It happened each and every time. I made a doctors appointment for a few days later (the soonest they could see me). After the first day it was still there, but slightly less, and progressively got better each day until when it was time to go to the doctors, it was no longer an issue. I was so scared to do any serious grip training after that, so I didn't.

It's a few years later now, and I feel great, a lot stronger in the gym, diet is better and I'm ready to get started again with no fears of injury.

One of my ultimate goals is to close a level 3 CoC and beyond. I found my bag of grippers today, and did some work with them. To my surprise, what strength I had gained before, I hadn't lost as much as I thought I would.

In my first workout, I'm currently closing a filed level 1 for 10+ reps, and closing my level 2 for 3-4 reps right handed, and 1-2 left handed. I was happily amazed I've maintained so much grip strength without working any grip for so long.

My main reason for posting my story thus far on here, is I was a member before, and have been reading a lot lately and decided it's time to continue towards the level 3. Everyone on here inspires me, and makes me want to get there just as bad as I want you (the ones who are working towards a 3 close) to get there. So, i'll post progress on here, and hopefully we get there sooner by motivating each other!

Sorry for such a long post! and it's great to be back with such a great bunch of guys!

- Pat

Don't apologize about the long post, it was a good read.

You never got any explanation about what those shocks down your arms were?

The general consensus was that it was most likely some type of pinched nerve in my back or neck, but never

got it diagnosed by the doc.
