Guest Bullitt
Another awesome day at Jedd's. Frank said he hadn't trained anything in months because of his new job. He then proceeded to lift Jedd's fatman blob to full lockout and got two full pulls on the Inch dumbbell, split only by his closing of a stout 3.5. Frank's back. Jedd was... well... Jedd. He started off by working up to a 500 lb DO oly bar deadlift. I brought my 1" V-bar up so he could take his rightful place on the FBBC list. He pulled 360. . Then he pinched, pulled and lifted everything in sight like Jedd always does. I had a mixed day. Pulled 455 DO very easily, but could only break the ground with 500. It will go soon. I tried several times at 260 on the FBBC 2" V-bar. Pretty sure I got a good lift on my first attempt. You guys be the judge on the vid below. The other highlight for me was saying I was going to lift Jedd's 3" handle dumbbell with a thumbless grip (100 lbs of plates - total maybe 110), Jedd saying, "yea, why don't you try that" with a laugh, then me doing it. We did some one hand Euro pinching and then went outside and did some double 2" rope climbing. Like the title says, another great grip workout at Jedd's! Best line of the day came from Jedd. " I have realized when I miss a feat or a lift, it's usually because I didn't squeeze hard enough." Thank you professor. That kind of wisdom is why we travel from far and wide to learn at your feet. Enjoy some of the highlights below:

bencrush
That's awesome! Great writeup and congrats on all the feats guys! I hate Jedd for pulling 360lbs on the 1" vbar and not training it.
Shoggoth
Great write-up Mike. Congrats on the rope climb, that's a pretty damn good indicator of having some good overall strength I'd think. Next time I come down we'll have to just do a training tour with everyone in the area :-)
Guest Bullitt
Thanks everyone. It was an awesome time. Even if I chose that day to suck at vbar. Haha After looking at the still again, I think it was just shy of 2". Certainly not conclusiive. @matt: I would call it a foothill, but yeah. Haha

The plate was closer to the camera than the V-bar was. If you look under the setup itself, it looks like it could have easily been 2". Anyways, great time yesterday. Probably one of the best times I've had up there. Edited May 30, 2010 by Magnus

Probably one of the best times I've had up there. You may be right. The camera was slightly lower than the plate, and the plate was 2.5", but I will wait until I get a conclusive lift to send to John. It was very similar to my 352 lift I had on the 1" vbar a while back. All your 1" vbar lifts and Jedd's 360 were solid. I'll get those off to him today or tomorrow. I was really happy you made it up buddy and also very happy you are going to start training again!
