Jonathan McMillan
I just spent many minutes to finally being able to bend a rod that was already partially bent by one of my co-workers. It got me thinking that as it throws you off your bending groove it might be a good training idea to improve bending strength as I found it actually harder to bend then an unbent rod of the same diameter. terryduty
Jonathon, some materials will actually become harder to bend after being bent . This is known as "strain hardening" and occurs with brass, copper, and stainless steels; hot rolled and cold rolled steel don't. I think that bending partially bent steel is a good idea, also! Train smart!
Jonathan McMillan
Thanks for the info on "strain hardening", the rods were zinc plated from the first batch I purchased at TSC. Jon@han
