Fat Gripz

Does anyone know the diameter of these? I'm thinking about picking some up to take to the gym with me to use on all my lifts but I'm looking for something about 2 3/8" to not only help with RT but also preparing me for the Inch DB. I'm going to be buying a replica real soon. I already did a search as well as checked them out on the Sorinex sight but nothing about their actual diameter.

Alright, fat gripz are ordered. I can't wait to see how much my db lifts go down due to these making it more difficult to just pick up hahaha.

My Gripz just showed up a little while ago. Very nice pieces! I put them on my 60lb db's here and tried them out with clean and presses and they work great. No slippage and they are hard enough not to give at all. They're a solid rubberish material. I'm looking forward to taking them to the gym everyday. I like them so much I just ordered my Inch Dumbell replica which should hopefully arrive at work sometime next week. The Fat Gripz will get plenty of use over the next year or so in prep for lifting that bad boy :mosher

I got some fat gripz, to use on my deadlift warm ups. I am too lazy to load and unload my axle just for warm ups.

Thoughts:

Bar diameter ends up around 2.25"

Slight give and more friction than a metal bar

Extremely easy to take on and off

Fit my adjustable standard dumbells

Feel durable

There is a 1/4" gap between the edges of the grip, that faces your palm. It was a little annoying when cleaning and pressing a dumbell. No problems with skin pinching though.

Overall, a solid buy recommendation. Other obligations have whittled my grip training down to kettlebell work, grippers and thick bar. The fat gripz let me fit thick bar in without any extra time investment. That's a big plus. If I trained in a commercial gym, I'd consider these a must buy.

I looked at the tyler grips online, but opted against them, as the fat end of the cone is 2.5" diameter. That's too big for my 7" hands.

I enjoy owning a 2" axle and 2.5" dumbell. For day to day training, though, they've been replaced by the fat gripz.

Fat Gripz sent an outstanding prize package to Nationals this year as well. They are great pieces for training.

I still use mine and love them. I like using them for deads but my favorite exercises with Fat Gripz are db clean and db snatch. I end up with a killer pump in my thumb pad.

I was going to order a pair myself after watching one of Jedd's vid's on YT. But when I clicked on I was kinda shocked to see them cost over $40 with shipping.

I'm certainly not a cheapskate, but this just seemed a little steep.

Glad I waited, cause they are on sale now. :)

Can't wait to get a pair. Maybe I can get John E's fat gripz. We all know he won't ever use em. :D
