Geralt
Hey guys, Lately i'm closing (but just!) the #3 from fairly deep set and sometimes i seem to miss it by miles (anyway, feels like it). I currently experience for my training that less is more, i do some heavy training like grippercloses, from 1 to #3 with deep set, strapholds with #2.5, pinch work (started out lately), finished off with reps on homemade gripmachine (works great, will add some photo's next time) and off course supported heavy wristroller work to finish the job. After that, it's four days of rest, and i can feel getting stronger with this method lately. Shame i didn't had the wisdom earlier to give my body some more rest, training every other day or almost every day doesn't do s..t for progress, except for developing nice injuries... Anyway, my question is that i'm considering to purchase a Rolling thunder handle or a special weapon (grippersuperstore). I know the difference in training in which they develop progress, but what is your experience in which will give more bang for my bucks in allround handstrength development? Guess it will turn out to be the RT, but i was just curious in what way they helped you guys in your strength development. Thanks!
Joefrey
If you already have a homemade gripmachine, go for RT.
barbe705
I like the crusher from fbbc more than the RT. it's a better tool. it won't start to stick after you use it.
Cannon
Get the revolving handle.

Ok, thanks for the replies, but what do you mean with 'stick'? Some issues with the upper layer of the handle or something? I live in Holland by the way and after looking around i find that i have to pay Ironmind almost the double price for sending the package overseas. Here in Europe there are not that many selling points from what i saw on the internet, only one company that charges almost the same total prize as Ironmind... I'll definitly look up the crusher you mentioned.

I'll definitly look up the crusher you mentioned. The old Rolling Thunder handles did tend to spin less freely after frequent use, but I haven't noticed that with the new RT's. I have thousands of lifts on my new handle, and it still spins just as freely as the day I got it. I own several Crushers too, and I would agree that they are excellent training tools. mightyjoe
There's no comparison between the RT and the Crushers. CRUSHERS all the way!!! I use my RT's now for arm wrestling handles. Revolving handle deadlift is ALWAYS with the 2" or 3" Crusher. BEST out there I know of.
Sybersnott
Anyway, my question is that i'm considering to purchase a Rolling thunder handle or a special weapon (grippersuperstore). I think you'll get more out of using an RT than you would a SW. Get an SW if your gripper strength hits a snag. It's a device NOT recommended for beginners IMO. But then again, life is short --- GET BOTH!
Bob Lipinski
I will start this post by saying I am biased. FBBC has sponsored almost all of my grip competitions. The crusher, IMO, is a far superior tool. I have trained with a crusher for a year or so. Once I put it on the ground, and kicked it out of the way of another lift I was going to do. It rolled on the ground like it was a damn basketball or something. I cannot cock my wrist into the lift because the rotation is smooth enough as to make that technique worthless. Solid steel and cheaper.
Geralt
Thanks guys, so can anyone tell me why the RT always seems to be used for feats of strength on most internetpages i read? Guessing Ironmind is just a smarter sponsor or something? If the crusher is that much harder for your grip than the RT, it seems to me that lifting the weights with a crusher gives that better workout and training we're looking for? And yeah Cybersnott, live is short, but the same goes for the number of digits on my bankaccount...
