iamtrevor
I saw a video on YouTube a few weeks ago about halving an apple with your hands. I used to try that when I was a young guy, doing it all wrong by using a twisting grip, which never worked. Well, I tried that the technique shoen in the video. It was even easy. Next step, is cracking it with one hand. Also doable. Moral of this? I eat a lot more apples and always halve them first. My friends think I'm a nutcase. Pancake Sprawl
i've never tried for fear i'd just end up mangling the thing up into chunky apple sauce or something. jpmmkrahling
yeah, lets see the link of how they do it (or how you do it). I do it with a twisting/pushing method but it not EASY and could never be done with one hand like you said is possible in your message. Plus it is not very neat the way i rip it apart, it can be messy. Pancake Sprawl
i saw a guy on iron claw grip twist an apple perfectly in half, but he doesn't really explain the technique. Here you go: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/910033/super...our_bare_hands/ To do it with one hand, dig your fingers into the navel (where the stalk was) and squeeeeeeeeeeeze! Dig you fingers into the navel where the stalk was and squeeze. It doesn't give a perfect halving, but with a crispy apple, it's neat enough. The smaller thae apple, the harder. Guest Bullitt
Thought I would try it for giggles. My wife thought I was a nut. 15 seconds later she had an apple split into 4 equal pieces. The quartering was actually much easier than the halving. Neither was real tough. Neat parlor trick.
