John Beatty
Gotta say, the brass is sharp looking! Smooth steel is tricky, but I like it a lot, think it yould be a great training aid, makes grippers a lot more complicated, brings a new challenge just crimping your hand to keep in set. Jerry & I chest closed the gripper 200 times, and I'd rate this on just a hair under a #3 strength-wise. At start, the spread was 3 1/16", so: start - 3 1/16 50 closes - 3" 75 closes - 2 31/32" 100 closes - 2 31/32" 200 closes - 2 15/16" Let me know if you think this is an acceptable loss, I didn't think it was too bad. The spring feels really good. I have to make the parallel grips a much bigger spring, but no problem there. The near #3 spring at parallel was a two finger close, so we're upping the size a bunch on the parallel. I'll be figuring the parallels(which I'll be widening slightly over parallel to allow for the initial loss of spread) out with the supplier & ordering today. When I have the delivery date, I'll build the page & start taking orders. This company told me a week to 10 days turnaround. Probably start taking orders later this week. Sounds pretty good to me. That's just 1/16 more than my new #3 seasoned. hamil1km
Looks good to me. This is probably a dumb question by a NOOB like me but what different strength options are there going to be for these? John Beatty
Well, will order tomorrow. The salesman wasn't in until Fri. So, fri is the order. I'll be widening the parallels 5 degrees, true parallel would leave too little ROM. The springs on the parallel will be massive. They'll need to be or they won't do any good. According to the quote from this company, we could have the order here in 10 days. Quote I like heavy things.

John Beatty
2 sizes on the parallel, may add more later as this company offers 5 springa over a #4 size, they have to be so freaky big to actually do anything, both will be well over a #4. I ran out of time to get the page up today, and Julie & I are out of town for the weekend (anniversary trip), will do on Mon, and have some slight adjusting to do on a few prices, but I officially ordered the springs today, the last tools we need will be ordered Mon (the last thing we needed to speed the process was back ordered through Grizzly tools until AUGUST!). Was told springs would ship in 2 weeks, so I'll start taking orders Mon or Tues, depending on when I get the page ready. We're finally a go!! Quote I like heavy things.
