TheProphecy
What's better? I've been considering buying some grippers so I can train grip. The problem is, I don't know if I should buy the ironmind ones or the HG ones. Obviously from what I've researched over today the ironmind ones are better, but are HG worth the price? They are cheap, afterall, unlike ironmind's CoCs. Thanks
Adam Moyers
I would recommend staying away from HG and saving your money for COC's, Tetting grippers, or the soon to be out FBBC grippers. JAU1985
I have CoC's and HG's and the Captains of Crush are a billion times better in every way. I plan to file down my HG's and use them for specialty training like choked closes and things of that nature. Like the other guys here have suggested, get the Captains of Crush Trainer through to the #2 and if you want more look into Warren Tetting and Robert Baraban grippers, I don't own any (yet) but I hear they are just as good, if not better than CoC's. Captain Crunk
I own a few of all 4 manufactures. I like my HG's as much as the others. In my training at least they serve their function just fine. If you can get HG's or even Bone Crushers cheap enough you'll get stronger from using them.
Paul Knight
adjustables are the way to go - contact acorn on the board, but I can't wait for the FBBC line up to come out also - cert grippers are always the coolest ....... you can't cert on the HG's Quote Gripcerts Paul Knight YouTube Ode to Pinch - by Tim Struse I hurt my thumbs today to see if I still feel I focus on the pain the only thing that's real. mwhities
COC's are expensive? At 20.00 a pop, my wife loves me buying those.... From my last hobby, I could buy several sets of COCs just one the trip money alone. No idea how the HG's are, but I went with the recommendation of others saying to get the COC's. T through #2, I'm happy. #2.5 and #3 should be here in a few days... if that tells you anything. Thanks I started with HGs along with a buddy of mine. They were cheap and did the job, but they really vary a LOT so it was tough to know where you stood. His HG250 was harder than my HG250 by a lot. I could do 10 more reps on mine than his. I switched over to the CoCs, as did he, a couple months ago and have been very pleased. There is only a slight difference between our grippers. It is much easier to see where you stand compared to everybody else as well. I really believe the CoC's are worth the extra couple bucks. What are the FBBC grippers everyone is talking about? Guest Bullitt
Answered my own question on the FBBC grippers. Michael, the narrow RBs might be perfect for you since you can't set the gripper. Just a thought.

hamil1km
I bought all the HGs 100 thru 350 when I first was introduced to grippers last year. They are so inconsistent its sick.
