Hi everyone,

Tom Black recommended this board. I am just starting out and looking for advice on good strength building exercises.

My specific goal is to close the #3 gripper.

Small hands can still do very well in grip. I have small hands myself and so do a handful of others I know. I will lift the blob someday in the next year or so :rock :rock :rock

Welcome!!!

I see your goal is the planche. How's that coming? I'm working on a tuck planche myself and as soon as I lean forward my arms just fold instantly, so I'm working on handstand pushups and holding the L-seat to build up arm strength.

Tom Black? You mean you found the g-board from his site or from talking to him? If you know him, how is he doing where has he been?

Welcome! Do some of the lifts you like best, some pinching some thickbar maybe, some grippers you'll be fine!

Welcome!

I have small hands too and I've just recently purchased a

Blob50 to evetually show the grip community that small handed

people can have strong grips.

My hands are just a fraction under 7" from wrist to tip of middle finger.

What do your hands measure?

I work with Tom. He gave me some advice to get me started but also recommended the board because of the people on here.

He's doing well and still bending! He said he used to be pretty active on the board.

P.S. Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I'm putting together a routine that I'll (hopefully) stick with and just ordered some grippers.

P.P.S. 7 inch hands from wrist to tip of middle finger.

I found Tom Black's site before I found this board. That guy had passion/obsession and a variety of information.

My advice for someone with small hands is to forget about it. You can't change it but what you can do is mentally set limits because of thinking about your hand size. Yes there will be some things that will be more difficult for you and a few things that may literally be impossible (like a Blob by the face) but I think you will be pleasantly surprised what just getting stronger and practice with the specific implements will allow you to accomplish.

When people used to ask him how it was he became so incredibly strong, it was always the same, "strengthen your mind, the rest will follow". The Mighty Atom
