The Natural
Outstanding gripper feat. CNS wise, this is one of the toughest gripper feats out there. Congrats Gabriel! -Rex Edited April 24, 2009 by The Natural Quote "It would be simpler if they had two classes: open and handicapped. If you’re under 200 pounds, under 18 years old, over 50 years old, female, retarded, or missing any limbs, you have the option to compete in the handicapped class. The Natural
The only reason this guy is not a #4 closer is that nobody has sent him one of the #4's that the Americans are using to get this cert. Something in the low 190 pound range. It would be cool if someone could help out Gabriel and send him one. Top 5 gripper guy. No doubt about it. -Rex Quote "It would be simpler if they had two classes: open and handicapped. Cannon
Those grippers just seemed to give up. Amazing to see them close that way. I think Gabriel will do just fine with his #4 given a little more time.
Magnus
That video is pretty old, too. He's come a long way since then. Probably capable of a #3.5 double nowadays. His #4 attempt is pretty crazy considering his #4 is 213lb. I have ZERO doubt he could close a 200lb #4. Axel H. borrowed me an easy #4 (196lb). But since the German Nationals i have a lack of strength (--> inch dumbbell ). I closed this one to 2mm, but never completely. Hope to achieve my old level soon.

ewokhugo
Thanks for sharing Rex! Gabriel by far the most gifted athlete from Europe and a really nice guy! What about this: Rex vs Gabriel(jk)? i mean ... both have what it takes to win the next euro and the next usa champ ...:-) Gabriel did one arm chin up a few days ago(one of his last youtube videos) VERY impressed with this! The Natural
sounds good Gabriel, you will close that soon and become another GB 4 closer If the events were neutral for hand size, Gabriel would wax me on the grippers and would be tough to beat on support. Don't know much about his pinch, probably very good to excellent. I saw the 1HDL event in the German event held not too long ago. One day very soon I'm going to max out on 1HDL and see where I stand. He'd be formidable for sure, no matter what the events. -Rex Quote "It would be simpler if they had two classes: open and handicapped.
