I received a VERY good quote from FBBC the other day for some grip/pinch/bend gear. Unfortunately, something came up and I don't have the amount I need for the quote.

I'm going to get one for sure, maybe two items. (I want to get wraps for sure.)

My list was this:

Crusher (Recommended the 3".)

Pinch Block

3" hub.

Of those three, which ONE would you prefer to have?

Of those three, which TWO would you prefer to have?

I wish I could get it all, but I'm not going to be able to. You all now I'm new here to grip/pinch and if you can, remember what it was like when you started. Looking back, what one piece of these three would you wish you had when you first started.

Thanks,

Michael

Crusher is the best. Hub is by far the least useful, so if you get two get the Crusher and Pinch block.

1 out of 3 - Crusher

2 out of 3 - Crusher + Pinch block

Of coarse, you could add weight to your 2-25s instead of buying a block.

I agree with the others, crusher is best for building strength, pinch is second, hub is least useful. You don't have to buy everything at once either, you can always get stuff later

3" Crusher is great! 1st choice.

Pinch Block - 2nd choice.

Thanks everyone. Looks like it's going to be the crusher and wraps.

I will eventually buy the other items (and more) , I just want to get the "best" to start out with. What about a vbar? Which would be better? 1" or 2"? That looks like something that can/could be fun to use.

Firing off another e-mail to FBBC.

2" It builds hand strength more (in my opinion) and it won't destroy your hands like 1"

Get the Crusher and the pinch block. You can always get the hub later on.

Went with the 3" Crusher and a 2" loading pin. About to head to home Depot to get some supplies.

Thanks,

Michael

Bought the carbine and added it to my Crusher and loading pin. This thing is a monster.

Now I need your opinion again. :)

Should I get a 2" v-bar or get a 3" and 2.5" (or combo of any two?) dumbbells from FBBC?

I'm thinking the 2" v-bar since I have the 3" Crusher and it's very similar to the 3" dumbbell.

What do you all suggest?

I'd get the 3" DB because you'd be lifting it from a much lower point with much more ROM than the crusher because of the loading pin and it can only benefit you in the long run IMO.

Though I don't own a v-bar, I'd say get one. The DB are too similar to what you already have (the crusher). The v-bar offers a new and different training stimulus.
