I had one a few years ago that was like a perfect 2.85. Are they still about that? I already have a pretty tough BBSM (~2.6) so im looking a tweener of a tweener.

The couple BBGMs I've cal'd have been in the 150lb range, and towards the more difficult range of #3s. You'd probably be better off getting a new BBSM, all the ones I've seen lately have been around the 2.7/2.8 range.

Crushing is my business, and business is good.

I have a tetting T-6 and it is equall to an average 3, maybe harder. Same specs as the GM. Word is Tetting has been setting the spring a hair deeper these days. Perhaps a used GM or older Elite, or a adjustable elite on the for sale forum, but good luck because Derek Graybill is lurking there and he buys them ALL !!!!! DAMIT. :laugh

I have a Tetting T6 which is noticeably harder than my #3

Ok cool, so for a new production gripper a t5/bbsm would probably be just below a #3.

No, my T-5 is only slightly harder than my I.M. 2.5.

I have 2 of em. My older BBGM I got in 05 is harder then all 3 of my #3's and the one I closed recently is around a 2.7.

Goals:

To be stronger then I was last week.

I don't mean to be condescending(which means to talk down to)..........

Where is bdckr? Haha i need to buy back the GM!

I didn't think a GM was at #3 strength by now, cause they rated it at 30 "pounds" less than the #3 and they both measure resistance at the ends of the handles. I was going to get one eventually to help me work up to a #3 but I guess that goes out the window now.
