liam.mccaffrey Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 For those that don't know me I joined on here sometime in 2007. So hello to all new friends and old. Well I have come out the other the side of major surgery, chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant for my cancer linky I ventured out into the pit this morning to see what I could, if anything, take down. Keep in mind I have had 12 months of completely doing nothing but laying on the couch and recovering. At my best I have taken down a red in thick pads in about a minute and taken a shiny down over a 3 day session so I was doing ok when I stopped. I had a look through my bag of steel and found some nails marke "hard 60D" which Bencrush sent me when I first started bending. I didn't think I had a chance plus my hands are pretty soft. But I got it easy and in small leather too. Got about 4 of these! I got greedy and wrapped up a 7"x8mm piece of CRS I had. I used double wraps and managed to put a slight kink in it! I cheated it a bit further but managed to take it down properly from around 150 deg to about 80 deg and I really ran out of steam then. I forgot how fun this is and was surpised how little I had lost considering everything. ATB Quote

liam.mccaffrey Posted April 10, 2009 Author Posted April 10, 2009 Thanks for the kinds word guys appreciate it! I had a nother hit at the 8mm CRS and got it down to around 2.75". My performance on this bar is very similar to my efforts on the shiny when I was at my best, so I have lost the difference between a shiny and roughly a bastard. I am not sure if I will do any more right now as I have surgery next week to remove my chemotherapy port from my right shoulder. Guess I'll have to work on grippers instead Quote
