pawel r Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 JOHN BROOKFIELD: In my opinion, the pinch-grip is probably the best overall way to develop hand strength if you are only going to use one exercise Quote
mightyjoe Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Pinch Grip with various block weights for sure. Mighty Joe Quote If you focus on your problems, you'll have more problems. If you focus on your POSSIBILITIES, you'll have more OPPORTUNITIES ! My Bog: http://musselwhitepapers.blogspot.com/

abagh89 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) Sledge hammer. just hitting things like rocks will work your hands good or levering. you can also do sledge hammer finger walks i think its called, its shown in brookfields book also. Edit- i think you would be seriously lacking in overall hand strength if you just focused on one exercise. to be good overall you need to include at least one of each type of grip strength (pinch, crush, supporting) Edited April 9, 2009 by adam baghbanbashi Quote
BigJan85 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 In my relatively short experience with grip training, pinch grip work seems to carry over into functional hand strength the best. gripmaniac Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Pinch Grip with various block weights for sure.Mighty Joe I second that nomination! Quote
Guest indi Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 im not sure if there is one best exercise- i owe alot of my hand strength to a combination of pinching (regular, wide, blobette) and thickbar/open hand work (thickbar statics, rolling thunder). Quote
