elSEEDY Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 Have you been doing extensor work? That helps a lot. No i havnt, but ive seen a video of someguy doing extensors with an elastic band, how often do you do them!?!?!?!? Quote
Shoggoth Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 There's a recent topic on gripboard that has some good info going. Search "Elbow Tendon Rehab". I've been working with a TENs unit and have ramped up my reverse curls, hercules bar, sand and band work for the extensors. I think it's helping quite a bit. Thanks, but it dosnt seem to be the symptoms of tennis elbow, its not tender to the touch as tennis elbow is its like a really annoying throbbing pain, feels like its right inside my arm goes up a lil into upper arm and half way down my fore arm, so god damn annoying. I was doing my chest work out today i couldnt feel it when i was doing bench, but as soon i went to dumbell flys i couldnt even get the dumbells up. i think im going to have to suck itup and take a week or two of weight lifting. I orderd some YORK elbow supports al give them a try, many people swear by them. My right elbow is starting to get the same also FFS. It could be early symptoms of tennis elbow but i will have to look into other simialr problems. Edited April 5, 2009 by elSEEDY Quote
sjeff70 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) "I train my fore arms only once a week with just grips, so i cant be over training." If you don't have periods where you back-off (deload), and you go hard at it everytime, you sure can overtrain. Even if you build up volume over time, and try to maintain high intensity, you sure can overtrain. You body adjusts to frequency so that doesn't matter. I can go about 5 weeks (approximately 7-8 workouts) before I have to back-off, deload and recycle. Edited April 6, 2009 by Jethro Quote
thewicked Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 you need to back off abit and let your body recoup.. connective tissue strength in the hands can come fast but also gets burnt out faster than muscle tissue seems to. If you start to get abit of pain or soreness take an ibuprofen or some other mild anti-inflammatory and see if that helps. If so then you just need to back off it abit and let it rest a few days. IF that DOESN'T help then get a reassessment and possible go see a dr. There are a million ways to rehab the elbow and when i start to get a little noticable "noise" from mine it just means i've been lifting too much. Quote

I really forcused on extensor work and it started to go away after a week or two of doing this. Quote
