Dreadnought Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Introducing my new grip toy. It is a 105mm artillery shell. It is all steel. My scale is broken. I estimate it weighs about 40 lbs as is. The cool thing is it is hollow, the fuse plug unscrews and I can fill it with lead, steel shot, coins, sand or whatever. It is 4 1/8" wide and it is harder than you think to lift it. Also grabbing it from the top is challenging, kind of like an anvil horn lift. I took to photos. I hope you can see them. I took a photo of "the bomb" next to my 50lb blob to show scale. Whatcha think? P.S. The shell is enert of course. Just a military collectable and now a grip toy/tool. "The Bomb" Quote

Dreadnought Posted March 30, 2009 Author Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) I will keep you in mind if I find another. I am always looking for weird stuff to use for grip work. I just purchased a 8" x 5" x 5" block of steel. It weighs about 60 lbs and should be a handfull to pickup. Regards, Edited March 30, 2009 by Dreadnought Quote
rico300zx Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 What size block would equal that blob you have there. Id probally have a better chance finding a block than a blob Rico Quote Dare to compare? I can see from the pics and the weight many different ways you could train your grip with that thing. Mighty Joe Quote If you focus on your problems, you'll have more problems. Dreadnought Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 Your welcome Joe... I was curious myself about its weight. Its a tough one to grip/pickup and in more ways than one I hope someday soon to have a local grip contest and would include this in some form of grip medley. Quote
