James Retarides Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 On November 7, 2009, the NAA will hold the first Southeastern Armwrestling Challenge at Extreme Ice in Indian Trail, NC. The weight classes will be the new NAA classes and they are as follows: Women's R&L 0-143 144 - +++ Men's R&L 0-155 156-180 181-205 206-230 231-+++ I am considering added amateur classes if there is enough interest. We are in the process of working on super-matches and our goal is to offer cash for each weight class and awards down to 4th place. The Extreme Ice Sport Pavilion is a great venue that offers a lot of activities for armwrestlers and their families. There are two full sized hockey rinks and open skate hours. It is where the Charlotte Checkers (minor league hockey team) trains and practices and they hold national skating and hockey tournaments and events. The venue is very excited about Armwrestling and is considering expanding the field of strength events in the future to possibly include grip and power lifting events. I will have more information shortly regarding special hotel rates/shuttle options and specific sponsorship details. Please mark off your calendars. We would really appreciate your support. Quote

James Retarides Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 LOL, that was part of our reasoning for adjusting the weights. That and to make them at even 25 pound increments. Quote
