Bill Piche Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mashmonster46_knight.htm Things are quite a ways behind there and this update is a fix as Paul was missing in action and #47 was there. They asked me for a picture of Eric...I hesitated because...you know...we don't want to scare too many people in cyberspace. HAH! Quote

The Natural Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Do they not indicate which level the person is at on the ladder? If not, they should. Would be a shame for people to walk away thinking he's still on Level 1. -Rex Quote "It would be simpler if they had two classes: open and handicapped. If you’re under 200 pounds, under 18 years old, over 50 years old, female, retarded, or missing any limbs, you have the option to compete in the handicapped class. Otherwise you lift in the open class."

Would be a shame for people to walk away thinking he's still on Level 1.-Rex These interviews are to give exposure to the grip world. Only the MMG1's are there and we are lucky to get this exposure. The majority of people who read it who do become interested in grip will eventually know that there is more than level 1. Quote

Egolego Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 According to that poll 10% closed a #3 the first time they tried one (i.e. without any grip training at all?) I find that hard to belive... Quote
Magnus Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 According to that poll 10% closed a #3 the first time they tried one (i.e. without any grip training at all?) I find that hard to belive... I closed a #3 the first time I ever tried it. I built the strength on other grippers, so the first time I ever touched the #3, I was able to close it instantly. I imagine some of the others that voted that way are similar. Quote ((((((—————)))))) PBs 430 raw bench 615 raw dead Inch DL - both hands Blob, Blob50 & Fatman DL - both hands

As i understand it the poll wants to know how long you trained with grippers of any kind (not CoC specifically). Though i dont blame you for anything, the way the poll was made leaves it open for a lot of free interpretation so i might be wrong in the end Quote

I find that hard to belive... now it says 22% - thats defenitly BS - I've been messing with grippers since 99 and still have not seen anyone close the #3 on their first try - I don't doubt it's happened but not anywhere close to 22% or even 10% - Ryan Johnson was closest I've seen anyone get on their first time with the 3, but he had been training on heavy grips for awhile Quote Gripcerts Paul Knight YouTube

Yes, I believe there are circumstances, but they don't = anything close to 22%, more like .001% IMO. I think alot of people are just answering the question and don't even know what a #3 is Quote Gripcerts Paul Knight YouTube
