ewokhugo Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 (edited) this is my 3rd workout ever doing reverse bending. in the beggining the best i did was 3 attempts to kill one nail(5mm)(reverse) so i stopped it. few weeks ago bend couple 60 d and i was happy because i loved the felling. today i did 3 7 mm x15 cm reverse bend using single wraps. because the im wraps i took a lot of punishment and used tape around my fingers , glad i could bend today. 7 mm its around g5 level. i fell i can bend the red this way ... this is because i am enjoying it bit time( i am very weak with the sledge - 8 pounds its heavy for me)! i must be crazy ...anyway ... climber511 Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Very nice bending. Reverse style is the only bending I can still do. I have shoulder issues when doing DO - it took me over a year to rehab them after my last go round with DO. I have nothing against it and if I could still do it pain free (at least injury free) - I would. Double Under has kind of turned into an upside down DO anymore and I have the same problem. I try vertical style once in a while and Heslep but I'm sort of a "competition" guy and most comps have reverse it seems any more. I am tempted to try a Bastard DU just to have done it all 3 ways - maybe someday. ewokhugo Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 booyah: red next! (jk) dont have squares or bolts . just some pieces of 7 mm(closo to g5) ... will try to buy some squares (6 mm) if they are close to fbbc 1/4" squares. (already asked in private to joonas) Quote Hugo Sá e Castro 33, 6"0", 200 lbs.
tja Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 You'll probably need to work the FBBC 1/4" squares, 7mm stainless, etc, before the red is yours. Even though the calibration of short squares is higher than the red, they're much easier to kink. I've still got a bit of work to do on the red, best so far is waiting at 25 degrees Quote
ewokhugo Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 i know joonas , i just watched Rex bending the red(reverse) and i loved it! Quote Hugo Sá e Castro 33, 6"0", 200 lbs.
