Chances are it wont bend, it will break..Be careful if you decide to play with it....If you have an extra, put in in a vise and give it a whirl....see what happens... -B Quote "dont ever give up...dont ever fall....remember the code. Bossie 308 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I had some 1/4 inch bolts like that and they were harder than a G8.I think Eric cald a 6 inch at like 550 or so..... Quote Jim Ricchezza
Johnsson Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Ok. Maybe this bolt is impossible to bend anywhere. Quote Grip videos
Tim71 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 John Beatty had some of those in a smaller size a while back and they snapped fairly early and violently for anyone who was strong enough to do it. Be careful. Tim Quote
climber511 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 We use hex heads all the time to fasten climbing holds onto the climbing wall. They are not expensive enough to be hardened like those used on automobiles. I don't know exactly if they are Grade 5 or what but I think they must not all be hardened.
