Mark Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 anyone ever trained with lower volume than normal on gripping. I am really trying to cut my volume down as I always feel I over train my hands. I was thinking one set per exercise. To you guys feel that's to little? I train every other day. As that is the pace that always got me the best results before. But I feel i might progress faster taking less sets. Quote Goals: Return to where I used to be
Benedikt Farsmann Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 When working with repetitions, I just do two sets of 5 repetitions and after I can't move the weight anymore I force the movement for another 15sec. So far it worked very well. Quote *Gripper ratings Hands: L/R breadth: 9/9cm length: 18.5/18.5cm circumference: 22/22,5cm Hand size chart
Wes Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I made very good gains with HIT style grip. For a while I'd do something like ISG 12-20 reps one set Dynamic thumb with ISG " " One set levers to failure Throw in some high rep rolling thunder in between workouts Made really good gains off of it. Just add a rep here or there and add weight when you are repping it out. Quote There is a natural order. The way things are meant to be. An order that says the good guys always win, that you die when it's your time or when you have it coming, that the ending is always happy-if only for someone else.

I realize everyone is different and what works for one will not work for another but keep in mind sometimes we worry so much about overtraining that we undertrain. Good luck with HIT.
