Mark Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 where is the power coming from here? Pinch, wrist? Quote Goals: Return to where I used to be
VahnCruz Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I think it would be similar to a card tear so mostly wrist and thumb, though it depends on how YOU do it not someone else. Develop your own technique and just remember to strengthen all parts of your grip, it will come when it comes. thats my $.02 oh and dont cut yourself! MalachiMcMullen Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 It's wrist and finger strength I think. I've torn a bunch of plates and it's not necessarily the hardest thing to do, but I had a good base of strength before I started doing it. When you first start pushing on the plate, you'll feel like you're not getting anywhere, but it'll start if you keep pushing. I always used the post it on the chest and push inward technique. AdamTGlass Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Be smart about this one. The metal can tear anywhere and can suprise you. Chris Rider destroys plates often, and he has been cut very badly in the past across his arms with this feat. Recommend wearing a solid long sleeve garment while you learn this and study as many videos as you can to learn proper form. Quote MM4. COC. Hexbastard in every way. Red Nail Roster.

I know i could get it if I could just hold out the isometric pressure a little longer. Quote Goals: Return to where I used to be
