Mark Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 My father is debating picking up another wrist strength tool for us to use (hopefully he's not being all talk). But is it really worth. We already have sledge hammers, a PDA pegasus, and a plate curl tool that we made. The options we were looking at were a twist your wrist from IM, or a wrist roller from FBBC. Are of these even necessary with what we already have. We both enjoy doing bending so it would be to supplement that. He does not want to pick up more steel (darn him because I need more) because he feels it would better to get away from the bending for a while and use alternate methods to build up bending strength. vikingsrule92 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Wrist roller, probably 2" or maybe 2.5". The twist yo' wrist isn't that useful from what most say while wrist rollers will help a lot of other grip stuff, not just bending. I'd say you have a lot of good stuff but you can never have too many grip tools And buy more steel!!!! Show your dad this post, NOTHING WILL BUILD BENDING STRENGTH BETTER AND QUICKER THAN BENDING!!!!!! Quote
mightyjoe Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 I agree with Derek about never having enough grip tools. I disagree about the "Twist yo Wrist" tool though. There's different ways to use it, but one of the neatest things you do with it is thumb roll-ups. It will blow your thumb pads away. I will try and do a video tomorrow of the various ways I've come up with to train with the TYW grip tool. Anytime I get a new grip tool I try and come up with different ways to use a tool that's considered one-dimensional. Stay tuned!
