luuc Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Bring it more to your neck, and (if you just want to bend big steel) make your pads thicker. You should also bring your hands closer together, so you can put all your strength into the steel, and not lose some of that strength to just fold the wraps. I don't know what kind of wrapping you are using now, but there are a cople of good sources for nice leather (FBBC, David Horne, a local store, ..), or you can purchase IM wraps. If you're interested you can buy an e-book about bending, you can find them on this site. Not bad so far, good luck with your journey to becomming a master in steel-bending! Johnsson Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 Thanks very much of your comments luuc. Those wraps what I use are suede leather, I guess. Should I add this leather or something else to get thicker wraps? And I have bought Jedd's bending Ebook last week. Great book. Quote Grip videos
gumpster Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Your wraps look really wide (maybe 6"). I think you'll feel more comfortable using wraps around 4" wide. You're practically off the ends of the bar. Try sliding the wraps on the ends about 1.5" (mark the bar to make it easy to see) and keep your hands on the wraps so the ends of the bar are still in your hands. I think you're losing a lot of power by being so far out. Maybe the best thing would be to watch Foxman's video on DO technique - HERE. ewokhugo Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Johnsson: i liked the effort u put into it! i believe its more a quest to improve your technique than lack of strenght. use your thumbs to your advantage ... u should press the thumb against the wraps not to rest on it,this will make a big difference! if u use chalk in your hands + the wraps u will notice a big difference:-) best of luck!
