EricMilfeld Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 With my FBBC 2.5" Crusher I'm at least 10 pounds stronger using a thumbless grip when the implement is wrapped in duct tape (to make it slippery). Without the tape I am more than 10 pounds stronger using an opposing thumb grip. Apparently, with a more slippery texture you can't get enough thumb involvement to compensate for the lack of wrist involvement and the amount of finger wrap you can get on the bottom of the handle that thumbless grip affords. Up until now, I always wrongly assumed that I was strongest with an opposing thumb grip. Quote
