gothrik Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Ordered my first IM 2.5... and no set closed it with each hand out of the package. Now to press on for the three. (Not going to order it for a good while though, till I start doing triples with the 2.5) Just to give some history of where I started, on my 17th birthday I started serious grip training with my IM "S" as my first heavy gripper. At that time I could only close it for 10 hard reps. In july I will turn 20. God bless everyone, and may you all reach your goals soon. Grippster Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I know it feels good to meet those long term goals. Then you think back to the times when you couldn't even do one rep on the gripper you're now practically tapping out morse code with. Quote

Guest indi Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 brilliant achievement! will be working towards this goal myself soon i can see it now, in the not too distant future. technology will crash and we'll be left in the stone age...the only form of communication being tapping grippers ala morse code, with a bit of string tied to the handle leading out to other destinations Quote

gothrik Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 Nice Job, man!! I'm ordering my #2.5 by the end of the week and hopefully I can get similar results with it. How many reps on the #2 are u able to do right now? I almost always just do no set closes on grippers just my own personal thing, I learned about grippers on my own and never learned to set for the first 2 years so I am more comfortable with it. It actually kinda hurts my knuckles when I try some of the setting methods, but maybe I am just not used to the different angle. Though there isn't knuckle pain if I warm up really well (but sometimes my reps drop from over warming up on the days I try to set.) I just like doing the no sets, I have long ring and pinky fingers so they can get on the gripper somewhat right away. Though I still have short hands (7.5inches I think last time I checked.) So to answer your question, I am not repping it yet, just no set singles. I am not even working it that much, trying to rep the 1.5 volume work with my twist yo wrist, and single and hold with the 2.5. Oh and twig What do you mean by the duck? coombsfh Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 excellent strength, on here TNSing a 2.5 is good but often gets overshadowed by wild achievements that push the boundaries of grip strength.
