Grippster Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Well, I've been easing myself back into a workout routine (feels great btw) and I decided to add pinch training to my workouts 3 times a week so that my thumbs are as strong as the rest of my digits. I set up one of those weights with the big plate in the middle and two small ones on the outside (whatever you call it, I forget). I have a 10lb in the center and a 5 on each side. I'd guess about 25lbs, considering the bar itself. I tried a one hand pinch grip but I couldn't hold it for too long Anyways, I'm excited to start doing this new form of training and hopefully it will help me appreciate some of the great lifts that have been happening lately Quote

lukeamdman Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 3 times a week might be a bit much, especially if your coming back from injuries. I hit pinch hard once a week. Quote Luke Martin Current Goals: MM3 replica 2HP 220lb's
Grippster Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) Well today I did my first pinch training session. The thumbs are feeling great and totally pumped. It's a weird feeling cause I've never had my thumbs pump up before! But anyways I don't push it very much and I can always modify my pinch routine depending on how I feel. 2 days from now if it feels good I'll go for some more lifts but if not I can always do it on Friday.
