naturalstrength Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Today I decided to try mid-bar bending. Picked up some 5/8" HRS and fought with it for a while. There are 2 videos, but for some reason YouTube won't let me download it because its about 20 minutes long. Part 2 is the last 5 minutes or so, and only the last 15 seconds are the most entertaining. My form and technique are atrocious, as after the initial kink I don't even know what to do next. The bend ended up about 1 1/2-2" off-centered. Hopefully next time will be quicker Part1 Part 2 Quote -Carl Ansara http://www.youtube.com/user/naturalstrength1

The form will come in time, everone finds a slightly different form that works for them and it looks like you tried alot of them. David_wigren Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Haha it was entertaining all the way through! Great effort and considering how hard this bend is and that it is your first attempt with midrange stuff, some really serious bends will fall soon! Quote
Bossie 308 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Nice bending carl The 5/8 competition is getting tough !!! Quote Jim Ricchezza
foxyj75 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Nice bend Carl!! Try this form for the crush; it's right about 5:40 on this vid. Just make sure you pad the end well that's against your chest. You look like you have plenty of horsepower in your biceps and back, so I bet it'll work well for you. Quote Phil. 4:13 Psychotic bending, shiny-headed Jesus freak......and proud of it!! My Videos
gumpster Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Great bend Carl! The fact that you didn't know what to do at times made it more entertaining. Quote Name: Perry6'4", 170lbsGoals:MMS close #3 - 11May2010...after 3yr 4mo on grippersRed/Bastard
