naturalstrength Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Stumbled upon this video. Is it possible(this easily) to double bend a bottle cap?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCqgE6JLP4Q...feature=related Quote -Carl Ansara http://www.youtube.com/user/naturalstrength1
easyWeight Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I guess the only way to know is give it a try. But I would imagine a Guiness cap would be one of the hardest. I'm still struggling to figure out how people bend them backward. All I ever do is tear the crap out of my fingers! Quote der Bär My YouTube
tja Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I think it can be for real. I've done a few caps but they're still very hard for me. This guy's technique looks interesting, not just bending, but twisting as well. Quote
luuc Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 That's a strong thumb dude.. I guess the only way to know is give it a try. But I would imagine a Guiness cap would be one of the hardest. I'm still struggling to figure out how people bend them backward. All I ever do is tear the crap out of my fingers! Bend it back and forth a few times, both sides will tear and than just bend one side at a time back wards. Quote The art of barehanded bending

Is it possible(this easily) to double bend a bottle cap??http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCqgE6JLP4Q...feature=related I can do that, its not hard once you work on your close pinch strength (notice its similar to card tearing form with the fingers) neat bar stunt but nothing special. This is what I'm talking about. Quote der Bär My YouTube
John Beatty Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Done it a bunch of times. Chews the crap out of your fingers going for the 1/4. The points get you. It's more a pain tolerance than anything else. Quote I like heavy things.
MatterOverMind Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Here is a picture of the first one I ever bent. The way I do it isn't very impressive though. I'll try my best to explain it. I take a bottlecap that has been removed with a standard bottle opener. That gives it a little crease on the top of it. I put my fingers on perimeter of the cap, at the ends of the crease and with the logo facing my palm. I roll the edges away from my palm and toward each other as far as I can. Then, because of the crease that already exists, it's pretty easy to bend it again, backwards at the crease. Clear as mud? Quote
