Roark
Lower it using a rope, beside the stairwell? Have your wife carry it for you while mumbling to herself. "I wannarealman"? Or, you are lying, and it is still sleeping heavily upstaires.

Bill Piche
HAHAHAHA! I lifted it stair by stair basically two handed (11 of them), lowering it slowly on each step. By the end of the stairs, believe it or not, my confidence for lifting the thing eventually one handed went up! I got warmed up as I went down the stairs. My wife was not home when I did. What?! You think I am stupid or something? She would have had me nerve wracked. "Don't WRECK anything! Watch it! Careful!" BWAH!
Rick Browne
You had Otis Elevator install a mini elevator? An Operating Engineer boomed his crane gib through a window and cabled it down? Or maybe like the ancient Egyptians and put planks on the stairs and slid it down....(pyramid style) And why in Heavens' name do you need it in the basement????????????? Roark
When my 172 came home, my wife said, 'Would you like to put it in the living room?' Only a newlywed would fall for that line, which, translated by then 29 years of marriage, meant: 'I'll make the gesture and offer that thing a spot in the living room, but if you know me as well as I think you do, you will graciously decline my offer and then we might have another week or two together!" When Wannagrip told me a few days ago he was going to take it to the basement, I mentioned it to my wife, and reminded her that she had offered my bell a spot in the living room. She replied, "We don't need that thing in here". Can I translate or what! :hehe
