1stCoC
A young man moved to Columbia about a year ago to be a policeman and chose my gym as a training spot. He was close friends with an early silver crush Captain of Crush Ron Mazza.I gave him some training advice over the year and through hard work he became very strong. Lately he has been hitting the grip stuff harder. 1005lb lockouts and our timed (1min) static holds on paired 110lb anvil horn trainers have added to his grip somewhat. He strolled into the office today asking for an autograph for a friend and said"Is that the dumbell that Mark Henry guy lifted?" I said yes and he calmly reached down and lifted it about a foot off the floor. I was amazed and told him what a real feat that was.....He bent down again lifted it WAIST high while talking to me ,bent his arm to hold it higher ,held it a few seconds (level all the time) and lowered it carefully and easily to the floor. He said if he was warmed up or had some chalk he could do better. It was the easiest lift of the bell I have seen other than Henry Himself. WOW that was an eye opener!I hope all my grip buddies are doing well out there! RS
