When To Move Up To The Next Gripper?

If I were you, I would have the 1.5, the 2, and the 2.5. It is always a good idea to have grippers stronger than you can currently close.

thanks, yeah i could then use the 2.5 to do negatives and such, it's just i probably can't afford 3 at once right now, probably 2 max, which would you suggest if i could only get 2?

since you cant get all 3 i think you should get the 2 and 2.5. since you can close the 1 20x i dont think having the 1.5 will give you much improvement vs the other two.

Depends on your progress. If you are a slow progressor, I would get the 1.5 and the 2. If you are average or above average on progression, then I would get the 2 and 2.5. There is no question you can MASH the 1.5. Sometimes we need to buy more grippers just to have closed a tougher one. If your thriftiness can beat out your ego, you can jump to the 2.

At one time, I had 12 different grippers between the 2 and 3. I was a slow improver and needed to move up the smallest bit on the food chain. My kids were grown so I didn't have to fund them any more, spent many dollars on grippers. Have since given away to my son, traded, sold, etc. I am down to a mere 6 in that range.

If you can close the #1 20 times you needed the #2 months ago. I bet you'll close it first try and maybe even the #2.5. I'd get the #2 & #2.5 if you can only get 2 at the moment.

get a #2 a #3 and have some patience. for now try closing your #1 from all the way up. with your index all the way up the handle, instead of your pinky all the way to the bottom.
