matthcarl
Now we'll separate the men from the boys. Problem is I'm feeling a little boyish
Alawadhi
515 That's A LOT man. I have a hard one too but am not sure if it's that hard. I know for a fact that my 6.5 dark bastard is around a shiny level and a 6" much harder than a shiny. I give it 485-490 or so pounds. John Beatty
Really? Wow, I thought they felt stiff, but with my erratic training, I never know. Yeah, I already fell off the train every week thing again.
David_wigren
That's really high up there for a bastard stock. Was this for the dark ones with kind of rust spots on them? I've bent a couple of thoose and they do feel very tough. But I didn't realize they where this hard. I also bent the dark ones that Alawadhi speak of and I considered them harder. But I havn't bent thoose in a couple of months so I could be wrong about it.

matthcarl
I had a bunch of the ones with rust spots and they calibrated at 430 lbs. These aren't as rusty, but have kind of dark striations down them. I just bent one at 7" and it was very hard. I had tried a 6" earlier and only got 4 mm of kink in it I can get a shiny farther than that. Yeah, the ones I was talking about had kind of dark spots and stringations too. I just heard rust and figured that's what they ment... But I don't know. I'll bend one of them later and one of the shinier bastards to see how they compare.

The ones I got yesterday are much darker, but not rusty.
