crobb1320
Hi guys. I have not trained in over 3 weeks,no bending, lifting, blobs, horseshoes or anything at all.All in hopes to heal a shoulder that has been bugging me for awhile now. This all started back in Febuary,I think it was from DO bending,But anyway my left shoulder was hurting between the top and front and some times it was damn near impossible to lift my arm above shoulder height.I babied it for a while and then I slipped getting into a bobcat and put my left arm out to brace the fall and bent my wrist back and felt the same pain in the shoulder,So I took it easy for awhile, took some Ibuprofen,Iced it when I could. But kept straining it at my job,I also tried some shoulder rehab stuff that Smitty had vids for but even that bothered it.This past week I was not in work due to a class I had to take for work which gave it some good rest, and the prior two weeks it was pretty good with no training and no strains at work. I was hoping to get some good advice,Should I take more time off from training??I know I should come back to training slow and with light weight but when,I really want to get back to bending(especially the horseshoes, but I don't want to start this whole process over again.Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys. Magnus
Sounds like you injured your anterior deltoid. If I were you, I'd give it a break for a few weeks. You're not going to lose as much strength from resting as you are from injuring it from not letting up. It's really not worth risking making it worse. You may lose a little strength from not training for a few weeks, but nothing compared to if you seriously injure something from slogging on. ewokhugo
pay attention to your heart dont try to fight against something u fell may be danger for u ... i dont see any prob to start slowly ... take some medicine before u start to lift again ... like tylenol or ibuprofen ...at this point heat should be better for u ... before sleeping or during the day. do a little of acupressure if u can ... Pinch or blobs may be a good way to start .. bending its to much agressive.
