ewokhugo
i emailed Kikkinen , he's an expert and he send me his link: http://p2.foorumi.info/rautakoura/viewtopi...t=9&start=0 uif u guys take a look; an easy #3 was rated at 2.61!!! (harder than an average #2.5)and an hard #3 was rated at 3.38(same as an easy #3.5). why so many difference betwen the same gripper? i think this is not good:-( coc#3 from 2005 are harder but its hard to believe why gripper vary so much ... In the last line you give an indication of why - age. Older ones varied more than newer ones but comparing an old with a new will show up differences. Why not compare a batch of 2005 with other 2005 grippers or 2007's with 2007's? The bigger the age difference, assuming they are unused, the bigger the variation. If they are used more then they will vary more.
MalachiMcMullen
Another reason is there are SOOOO many #3's that have been calibrated compared to, say #4's or #3.5's. Once these new springs came out I hear the average #3 strength jumped from 150lbs to 152.5lbs. It changes with time and the more that are calibrated the more oddballs you'll find. ewokhugo
thanks for the link petski! why do u want to close #3 before 15th feb? its your birthday??:-) mobsterone:i am not complety sure if the ratio betwen grippers from the same year are about the same... anyway grippers from 2005 seems to be quite hard ... someone said one #4 from 2005 was about 3.7 /3.8 wich is less than 4.0 .. thats why i am not complety sure:-) #3.5 doesnt seems to vary a lot :-) Edited March 22, 2008 by ewokhugo
