gerryg
While doing your gripper workouts how long do you rest between your sets? 1 minute, 2minutes, or longer? I was just wondering what the average rest period is.
Autolupus
I normally rest 3-5 mins between sets.

Mitch1963
1-2 minutes for me
hab34buy
Because I mix it into my whole body training, and I do other exercises in between, it can range from 2-7 minutes. I would say that on average, it is about 4 though.

Teemu I
That would have to vary depending on what kind of training effect you are after. I use a lot of different schemes.
ewokhugo
if i rest 1 mn and i can still fight my gripper i stay with it. i believe the best its around 1.5/2 mm:-)
bencrush
Around 2 minutes on all the warmups (T, #2.5, hard #3) and 5 minutes on the harder grippers.
GetAGrip87
3 minutes for me.
popeye76
5 or 6 minutes for me.
dima700
I take exactly 2 minutes between sets. It would probably be more beneficial to take 3 minutes, but I don't want to extend my workouts even longer.
Jedd Johnson
If I am hitting my gripper work in between sets of my body lifts, it might end up being a 3 to 5 minute wait between gripper attempts, however, it's probably only like 2 minutes if I am just training grip. Usually, when I am just training grip, I will hit the speedbag in between gripping attempts. And the speed bag sets aren't that long. I usually just turn around and chalk up again and hit it - pretty much continual motion.
pklidaras
like a lot of guys here..depends if i am doing grip only or doing full body work as well, but on average i tend to rest 3-5 minutes between attempts, only tends to be 3-4 hard attempts, on the hard stuff, as i tend to crap out pretty quick on the harder grippers....and i wanna conserve my strength for each attempt
The Mac
I like to keep rest periods as short as possible on all but the heaviest stuff, I tend to go off the boil a bit with anything over 3 minutes or so these days.
Mlstrass
I train grippers separately and do 1-2 minutes between sets as I like to keep a decent pace and keep the total workout right around 20 minutes. I do my whole body workouts the same way. I just can't stay "up" for a lift or workout by sitting around for 3-5 minutes betweens set or movements...
