matthcarl
I just got my latest shipment from IronMind. I got the hub device, and I really can't say I like it much. It seems really slick compared to a regular plate hub and won't hold chalk. Is there anything you guys do to make it better, or am I supposed to deal with it that way? I also got some IM pads and a batch of red nails. I haven't a chance to pu either to the test, but I'm thinking about the red nail cert down the road. I'll probably start easy and try a G5 or something in the IM pads before I jump into something harder and hurt myself. pdfk20
Give the IM hub a bit of time, you'll get used to it, i use lots of chalk on my hand but keep the hub chalk free and that works well for me. bencrush
If you really want that Ironmind cert, it's as easy as just doing every bend from now on with the Ironmind pads. Problem solved:) Work the heck out of your 7" length, and also spend a good deal of time at 7.5". The thinner pads make it easier for most guys to get into the high DO position, so that's one underestimated bonus actually. The tradeoff is of course the reduced padding and the pain on the fingers. You'll get it and you've got the strength for it right now man. Smash away.
matthcarl
Thnaks guys. Actually, the length is no problem at all for me as far as bending goes. I do much better at 7" than any other length. I just need to work on speed and pain tolerance. I sliced my wraps into 3 pieces and now wrapping is much easier and i can use less padding in some cases. No, even if you use less wrapping it is still tampering with the pads, and I don't think they would allow that
