MalachiMcMullen Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Went for a quick(which turned out to be not so quick) size 0 bend, still have bruises and blisters and a sore RH forearm from the first 4 but oh well. Anyway, this thing refused to bend into a heart. Just the one leg of the horseshoe wouldn't go. During the crushdown I put it between my legs and when I noticed the one leg was going WAY easier than the other I moved my hand to the end of the imoble leg and moved my hand to the top of the easy leg figuring it would help with leverage... wrong http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?autocom...si&img=6529 Looks cool nonetheless but I'm still disappointed I wasn't strong enough to move that leg tonight. Tim71 Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Sometimes they like to be stubborn. I see from your gallery you've done them before so it's probably an issue with the shoe. Sounds like you did the right thing by adjusting your grip on the leg that bent more. I've had to do that and it normally works but maybe your shoe was just really uneven. Happens. Tim Quote
EricMilfeld Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 That happened to me the first time I attempted a heart. It sounds like you did the right thing in attempting to correct it, but you probably just went too far with the other leg before you tried to fix the slacker leg. You might be able crush that stubborn leg down by doing a spike style crush between your upper belly and thigh. Quote
cjsta Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Sounds like you need to rest and recover. From your picture it looks like the leg that wasn't moving was in your right hand which you said your right forearm was sore. This could be giving you a strength imbalance when doing the sweep and cause one leg to bend before the other. Take some time off, heal up, and then try it again when your recovered. Chris Quote
MalachiMcMullen Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 Well thanks guys. Definitely felt harder this time than the first time but they're getting easier as I rest more. Cjsta, actually the one that is bent clear round was in my RH, I flipped it upsidedown to show the # but I'm definitely feeling it in my RH forearm nonetheless. I think Eric is right, it may have just been too far before I tried to save the heart shape because I didn't really look at it until I felt that one leg move so far.
